The item was only a couple of bucks and the shipping was almost $8.00. For a small bottle of Iodine, that was too much.
Doesn't smell goood but it worksMarch 9, 2010 Old Lady(WI) Iodides tincture colorless. The odor is unappetizing but this stuff works! After two weeks of application my nails have greatly improved. I only wish it came with a brush that attached to the bottle.
Colorless iodineMarch 8, 2010 L. K. Helton I had been having difficulty finding this product, which had been recommended to help stop splitting nails. I was so happy to find it here. It arrived promptly, in appropriate packaging and perfect condition.
Ammonia?February 12, 2010 Southern Man(Arkansas) It smells like ammonia. I did not want to put it on my skin so I threw it away.
Somebody else said that too and I decided to order it anyway to check for myself.
For all I know ammonia may be okay as a base for the iodine. But I don't like it.

The jury is still out. I have been using it for only a couple of weeks, and so far, I have not seen any postitive results.
